As part of Mental Health Week we are hosting an Easel Painting Workshop on Thursday 14th May. A step-by-step acrylic painting session,suitable for all levels, where you’ll create your own finished canvasto take home.​

No exerience needed, just come along 11:30am - 12:00pm or 12:30pm - 1:30pm at the main lake by the benches and give it a go.​

To secure your place, we are asking for a minimum £5 donation to Birmingham Hospice – click here. Donations must be made before Tuesday 12th May at 12 midday, otherwise spaces may be released to those on the waiting list.

Led by Polly Wright, ‘Reading for Wellbeing’ is all about sharing the pleasure of reading aloud good stories, novel extracts, and poetry, which prompt discussions about the relationship of their themes with people’s lives, and our feelings about the behaviour of main characters. Most of all, though, it’s a way of getting to know people, through a love of literature.

You won’t need to bring anything – all material is provided. Hot drinks and lunch will also be available.

No prior gardening experience is required for this workshop.

Meet the Bees - Family Friendly

Venue: Beehives next to Main Lake
We’re inviting our businesses to take part in this unique opportunity to join us for a ‘meet the bees’ session at our beehives with our local beekeepers. During the session, you’ll get to wear a beekeeper suit, find out what our honeybees do and why they’re so special. The beekeeping experience is led by Dave Taylor from our Landscaping Team at Nurture Landscapes.

Please note that all participants are required to wear sensible (closed toe) shoes and the sessions are not suitable for anyone who is allergic to bee stings.

Experience the sweet side of sustainability with our Honey Harvest Event

During this hands-on and educational session, our expert beekeeper will guide you through the fascinating process of honey extraction - from removing the honeycomb frames from the hive to spinning and filtering the golden honey. You’ll learn about the vital role bees play in our ecosystem, how our office hives contribute to biodiversity, and what it takes to keep a healthy colony thriving.

The event will include:

  • 🐝 Live honey extraction demonstration – see how honey is harvested directly from the comb.

  • 🍯 Honey tasting – sample freshly harvested honey straight from our hives.

  • 🌻 Bee education – discover how we’re supporting pollinators and sustainability at the workplace.

It’s a unique opportunity to connect with nature, learn something new, and celebrate our shared commitment to the environment - right here at the office!

 Our sustainable wreath-making event is back for 2026! Get festive, learn a new skill, meet your neighbours, and create a beautiful Christmas wreath to bring home with you! Our landscaping team, Nurture, will host the relaxed one-hour workshop where you and your team will be shown step-by-step how to make your own unique wreath. Tickets are £10 with all proceeds going direct to our partnered charity, Birmingham Hospice.
