Music

The Symphony Hall at the International Convention Centre presents the finest orchestras and artists in the world, with a programme including classical music, jazz, pop, young musicians and local organisations. 

The International Arena at the National Exhibition Centre provides accommodation for 12,000 spectators and is a major venue for classical, rock and pop concerts.  A number of locations around the centre of Birmingham provide alternative venues for smaller groups and artists.

Museums

Birmingham Natural History Museum and the Art Gallery in Chamberlain Square have a comprehensive selection of exhibits, including fine and applied art, natural history, archaeology, ethnography and local history.  Birmingham Museum of Science and Industry houses a number of exhibits detailing the more recent history of the City and Great Britain.

Cinemas

The annual TV and film festival occurs each Autumn in Birmingham and cinemas offer big-screen entertainment as well as art and foreign films.  There are several cinemas, a theatre, an exhibition hall and art gallery can all be found more locally in Solihull.
